Release Notes for KubeSlice OSS 1.5.0

KubeSlice is a cloud-independent platform that combines network, application, Kubernetes, and deployment services in a framework to accelerate application deployment in a multi-cluster and multi-tenant environment. KubeSlice achieves this by creating logical application slice boundaries that enable seamless communication between pods and services across clusters, clouds, edges, and data centers.

We continue to add new features and enhancements to KubeSlice.

Support for Dynamic IPAM

KubeSlice 1.5.0 introduces support for Dynamic IP Address Management (IPAM) along with Static IPAM, allowing administrators to allocate and manage IP addresses dynamically across multiple clusters. This feature enhances network flexibility and simplifies the management of IP resources in a multi-cluster environment.

KubeSlice 1.5.0 adds support for ARM64 architecture, enabling deployment on ARM-based systems. This expands the range of hardware platforms that can utilize KubeSlice, providing greater flexibility and options for users.

KubeSlice 1.5.0 introduces support for WireGuard VPN Gateway, a modern and efficient VPN protocol known for its simplicity and high performance. This addition enhances the security and performance of network communications within slices.
